You can find people from CIRC helping you find your way at one of the biggest places to change busses or trams, Korsvägen!
Also: If you are already in Gothenburg, please don’t come to the airport since the solely purpose of this event is to help newly arriving students find their way to the city.

Campus Tours
On these days, you will get the grand tour of the Campuses, learn some fun facts and hopefully pick up some Chalmers jargon by the end of the tour. Come and find out more about the places where you can grab a quick lunch, buy good coffee, buy your course material, find a quiet place to study or cool off after a long day.

Afterwork
It’s one of the most appreciated “non-traditional traditions”, which people and students in this country have grown fond of. Every Friday, some pubs and restaurants have Afterwork specials with a free buffet and happy hour prices in the bar.
Islands Trip
You will coordinate within your Phadder Group at what time you will depart.
How to get there?
- Take the tram 11 to Saltholmen.
- Take a ferry to an island of your choice. Recommendations are Styrsö or Vrångö.
- Have a great time with your Phadder Group!
Notes: Prepare accordingly! This includes: Jacket, water, food and shoes for longer walks. There are very few supermarkets on the islands to buy stuff and especially on the weekends opening hours can be bad. Also, check with ferry times to come back to Gothenburg from the island so you don’t have to wait for long time at the ferry stop.
Ticket selling
Some of our activities require tickets. This is because of the limited amount of people are allowed in the venues. There is a fee for these events, but it is important to know that as a committee of the Student Union, our purpose is not to make money from these events, so what you pay is to cover the venue rent, food, DJ’s, etc.. More Information about the ticket selling are given during the reception period.
Games and Sports Night
During this event you will have access to numerous board and team games from the CIRC office and to the motion hall in the student union building. It is a good occasion to pass the time together and to meet more students while playing and having fun.

If you’re looking for a way to make your Saturday a more fun day, you can go with your phadder group and play some minigolf. Challenge your phadder and your friends and let the game decide who’s gonna win!
Train party
Partying is fun, but what about parting in a train wagon!! In Chalmers you get a cool wagon just for fun, so come and join the party…It is one of the most fun party venues on campus, the Train Wagon. This is the first train party of the semester and it is a Chalmers tradition, so make sure to get a ticket soon!

Sauna Trip
What is a Sauna?
Well, a sauna is basically a small cabin which has a heating facility. This enables the cabin to have raised levels of temperature, usually in the order of 70 – 90°C. We must mention that Chalmers owns one of the biggest wood fired saunas in all of Scandinavia. This monster can seat up to 60 people at the same time!
So, What is a “Sauna Trip”?
For this trip you will leave from Chalmers on a bus and travel about 45 minutes to a beautiful lake called Sandsjön, East of Gothenburg. The Sauna sits on the very edge of the lake, so you can swim as well! The Sauna is in a cosy cabin that has a kitchen and dining area with a fireplace.
After you get there, you will have fun playing some games and chopping wood for the Sauna, after which you will be able to get ready to get into the Sauna which will probably by now be nice, hot and ready for you! Once you are done with the Sauna, we will serve you some snacks or the very famous SWEDISH FIKA in the dining hall where you will be able to eat, sing, drink and be merry until it is time for you to leave!
